Membership Requirements
Membership is open to women and girls aged 16 and over.
Membership registration is open from September 1st through May 31st for the following season. Returning members have priority for league choices until November 15th. After that date, new members are placed on the league of their choice based on the date their membership registration is received and the availability of spaces on the league.
Once golf leagues have started, individuals may apply to sub for the current season or join a league if there are openings.
Competitive Leagues: Experienced golfers with a USGA/GAM handicap index of 45 or less are eligible to join competitive leagues. It is expected that you have experience golfing according to the the basic USGA rules of golf, have a good knowledge of course etiquette, and understand how to play READY golf.
If a golfer without a handicap index provides a minimum of three 18-hole previous-season scores using 9 or 18-hole scores, we can calculate a starting handicap index. Placement on a league is deferred until scores are received and the calculated handicap index is 45 or less.
Two-person teams compete for both individual and team placement throughout the golf season in a competitive league. If you do not have a partner, we will attempt to pair you with one.
Intermediate Leagues: For women with some experience, who want practice to improve their game, are not interested in competitive golf, or just want to play socially, the Intermediate leagues are for you. These leagues do not require a USGA handicap index, however, golfers can earn one while playing in these leagues. Intermediate leagues ARE NOT BEGINNER LEAGUES. If you don’t have golf experience, we recommend you contact a local golf course, golf center, or community resources for beginning golf lessons.
Substitute Player: For players with a USGA handicap index of 45 or less (or can qualify for one by submitting recent scores), substituting on a Competitive league allows you to enjoy golf at a variety of courses at reduced rates, at times and dates that are convenient. Subbing on a Intermediate league allows a golfer to play at no cost and does not require a handicap index
Membership Fees
The membership fee is $50 for women and $25 for girls 16-17.
All memberships include a GAM membership and one league. For members choosing to golf in more than one league there is a fee of $10 for each additional league. Greens fees are separate and are due by April 1st.
